Dean Aircraft Service Hangar Additions & Alterations

The Work consists of new construction of a 70,000 sf addition to the existing hangar and office building for Dean Aircraft Service located in Meridin, MS. 30,000 sf is a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) hangar and the remaining 40,000 sf is a three level facility with hangar shops, service areas, and support space on the ground floor. Offices and other business functions are located on the second floor and the third floor is designed for future expansion. The building structure is structural steel framing with concrete on metal deck floors. The exterior building envelope consists of the following building materials: metal panel, aluminum curtain wall, and brick veneer. The roof for the hangar and office structure is standing seam metal. Site work includes new parking and a concrete aircraft apron. There are also minor modifications/alterations to the existing office building.

Sealed bids will be received in the Meridian Airport Authority Board Room by the Meridian
Airport Authority (Owner) at 2811 Highway 11 South, Meridian, MS 39307 until 2:00 PM,
Local Time, Thursday March 19, 2020.
At which time bids will be publicly opened and read

aloud for: Dean Aircraft Service Hangar Additions & Alterations, 2913 Highway 11 South,
Meridian, MS 39307.


Proposals shall be submitted on form furnished and sealed and deposited with the Meridian
Airport Authority prior to the hour and date above designated. Bids must be accompanied by
bid bond or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the base bid payable to the
Meridian Airport Authority as bid security. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the
actual date of the bid opening.

All bids must comply with applicable laws of the State of Mississippi and shall include the
Contractor’s Certificate of Responsibility Number, which must be displayed on outside of the
sealed envelope. A performance and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the
contract sum will be required of the successful bidder.

Bid preparation shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the project
manual. The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all informalities or to reject any or all
bids submitted.

A copy of the Bid Documents (including plans and specifications for the Work) are available
via digital and/or hard copy sets. Plan holders are required to register and order bid
documents from the Jackson Blueprint online Plan Room website; planroomjaxblue.com.
There is no charge for registration or to view the bid documents online. A printed set of bid
documents is available for a refundable $100 check deposit. A digital PDF set is also
available to download at no cost. Make checks payable to Davis Purdy Architects and mail
or hand-deliver to Jackson Blueprint, 699 Monroe Street, Jackson, MS 39202 to the attention
of Paul Kennedy.

Payment must only be made using a deposit check and cannot be paid for with a credit card.

Contract documents will not be delivered/shipped until receipt of deposit check. Orders will be delivered/shipped within 1-2 business days from time of deposit check received.

Order will include any existing addendas that have been issued.

All plans and specification documents must be returned in good condition to Jackson Blueprint Supply, Inc. by 03/30/2020 to retrieve your deposit check. Checks are forwarded to COMPANY after this date.

ADDENDUM DISTRIBUTION

Existing planholders will be notified by email upon the release of any addendum. Failure to order bid sets through Jackson Blueprint and not being on the planholders list may prevent you from being notified of issued addenda. Printed copies of addendum will be available as part of your bid package. Addenda notifications are sent via email from the mail account of “notification@jaxblue.com” and could be flagged as spam by your company network firewall. To prevent not receiving timely notification of these addenda, please contact your company Information Technology Manager and ask that he “white list” the domain of jaxblue.com to prevent emails from being captured.
