A New Justice Court Facility and an 80-Inmate Housing Addition at the Marshall County Justice Complex
The work required under this contract consists of the construction of a new Justice Court Building and a 80 Inmate Housing addition to the existing Jail. The Justice Court Building is approximately 8100 square feet. The work shall consist of concrete slab foundation, pre-engineered metal building structural frame, batt insulation with metal screw down roofing. The exterior of the facility is a pre-engineered metal building panels or exterior insulating finish system over sheathing, exterior metal stud wall framing, batt insulation and gypsum board interior finish. All interior construction shall be interior metal stud framing, gypsum board, painted walls, carpet, vinyl composition tile or ceramic tile flooring. Mechanical work shall consist of ground mounted package air conditioning units. Plumbing standard construction to 5’-0” beyond the building perimeter. Electrical work is standard for power and communications. Site work shall include all grading, paving, sidewalks and underground utilities from 5’-0” outside of the building to tie into the city services. The 80 Inmate Housing Unit of approximately 17645 square feet with an attached sally port of 4795 square feet. The work shall consist of concrete slab foundation, security grade concrete block walls, bar joist roof structure with metal roof deck, insulation, recovery board and metal screw down roofing. The exterior of the entire facility shall be pre-engineered metal building metal siding on furring with rigid wall insulation over the security concrete block walls. The sally port shall be a pre-engineered metal building with metal siding on wall girts, insulation, metal structural framing, roof insulation, and metal screw down roofing on roof purlins. All interior construction shall be sealed concrete floors, security rated concrete block walls with paint finish, painted cement board ceilings either attached to bottom of roof structure or suspended or lay in acoustical tile ceilings. Mechanical work shall consist of ground mounted packaged air conditioning units that ducted into the building with separate smoke evacuation units in each dorm space. Plumbing standard construction run to 5’-0” beyond the building perimeter. Electrical work is standard and security type for power, communications, and building systems control. Site work shall include all paving, sidewalks, underground utilities from 5’-0” outside the building perimeter to tie into the city services.
